International Conference on the Slovenian Qualifications Framework
Referencing the Slovenian Qualifications Framework into the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning and the Qualifications Framework of the European Higher Education Area.
In accordance with the initiative on the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning and the establishment of the Qualifications Framework for the European Higher Education Area as well as the intensive work done on the Slovenian Qualifications Framework in the past three years, Slovenia would like to present the referencing of the Slovenian Qualifications Framework into both European frameworks, to both the Slovenian and the international public.
The first major milestone in the presentation of the Slovenian Qualifications Framework was the National Conference on the Slovenian Qualifications Framework, which was held at Brdo pri Kranju on 20 April 2011. At that conference, Slovenia presented the Slovenian Qualifications Framework to the Slovenian and international public and achieved an important consensus regarding the establishment of the Slovenian Qualifications Framework, which was the fruit of joint efforts and interdepartmental coordination from 2005 on.
At the upcoming international conference, Slovakia will present the referencing of the Slovenia Qualifications Framework into both European frameworks. The referencing was adopted by the Interdepartmental Working Group for the Preparation of the National Qualifications Framework in March, and the Government was briefed on it in April 2013. At the end of May was presented the referencing of the Slovenian Qualifications Framework into both European frameworks to the European Commission, at a meeting of the EQF advisory group.
