Promoting Internationalization and Comparability of Quality Assurance in Higher Education
The Promoting Internationalization and Comparability of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PICQA) Conference will take place on 10-11 October 2013 in Yerevan, Armenia.
The project Promoting Internationalization and Comparability of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PICQA) aims at enhancing the quality of higher education in Armenia and Georgia by promoting internal and external quality assurance systems which are acceptable both regionally and internationally.
Overview
What has been achieved in the project and how can it be used for the future?
The Conference will be guided by different themes on the two days – the first day will share the project results and on the second day we will look into future activities.
On the first day of the Conference, we will explore the lessons learnt by the partner universities and agencies and focus on how they can be used for further development of quality and quality management in higher education. We will also examine the challenges that quality assurance mean for rectors, for teaching staff and for quality managers.
On the second day, we will explore how universities and agencies in the region can collaborate to overcome the regional challenges. We will look into different forms of networking and establish where the mutual interests lay.
Practical training on project themes such as internal quality management and university self-assessment will also be included on the second day for non-project partners.
