Working Group on Monitoring the Implementation of the Bologna Process

The Working Group on Monitoring the implementation of the Bologna Process is one of the long-standing working structures of the Bologna Follow-Up Group, firstly established in 2003 with the purpose to assess the main developments in Bologna Process and the extent to which commitments agreed by ministers are implemented in the national higher education systems.

Since 2010, the working group supports the elaboration of the Bologna Process Implementation Report, authored by Eurydice, ensuring that accurate comparisons can be made between countries and that implementation and other changes are transparent within as well as between countries.

Through the Tirana Ministerial Communiqué, the Working Group on Monitoring was mandated to ensure that policy commitments aiming at creating by 2030 an inclusive, innovative, and interconnected EHEA, mindful of the fundamental values, are properly monitored, through a Bologna Process Implementation Report that assesses key developments.
