The Power of Lifelong Learning

The international seminar on The Power of Lifelong Learning was organized on Amsterdam, 17-18 June 2010.

This International Seminar focused on Lifelong Learning processes, through the eyes of higher education institutions, colleges, the world of work and other stakeholders. Emphasis was placed on the growing importance of short cycle higher education programs and qualifications at level 5 in the European Qualifications Framework as well as beyond Europe, in the U.S. and Canada, on the involvement of ‘the labor market’ in shortcycle, higher education programs, existing approaches to Recognition of Prior Learning, the role of Quality Assurance in formal and nonformal learning (internal and external procedures) and others.
