International comparison of education systems: a european model ?

The objective of this conference was to give powerful momentum to the reflection and practices in the field of international indicators for comparison, by producing operational recommendations and undertaking to develop a culture of international evaluation and comparison, thus assessing the situation with regard to:
– Validity, strengths and limits of various existing series of indicators;
– Use of evaluations and national and international indicators in making decisions;
– Perspectives for improvement and cross-developments, both at the national and international levels.
